Starting next month I'll have a class of about 28 Korean grade 10s and two classes of about 30 grade 7s each with whom I'd like to do a pen-friend exchange. The grade 10s will be at an intermediate level of English and should be able to express themselves in written English well enough to convey most thoughts and ideas they'd like. The grade 7s will range from beginner to intermediate and some of them will only be able to write out a few simple sentences, though others will be able to write out longer letters.
In the past I've found that my students are absolutely thrilled to letters from kids their own age in other parts of the world, and nothing motivates them better when it comes to getting them interested in English prose, something that's really, really lacking in thier curriculum. If you have a class of students age 12 or older and are interested please PM me. Our first school term runs from March to July and it would be possible to do at least two - maybe three - snail-mail exchanges each. I don't care if your students are ESL, EFL, language arts, or general English (or even another subject altogether).
