I think we all have, or have had, people like that working with us. It can be terribly annoying!
Best of luck to you. Hang in there!

I've had this. I had left my last center for a half a year. When I came back, there was a new teacher who decided it was her responisblity to oversee me. Even after I kindly told her that I had taught there before and knew the ropes, she persisted in trying to coach and direct me. She seemed to feel the need to remind me of certain things over and over again. It made me laugh sometimes and was annoying at others.

Boxcar, I feel your pain! I was asked to stay after school and tutor some students for an upcoming test. The teacher who was overseeing the after school program sent an e-mail out to several teachers AND our principal saying, "Mrs B is doing math on Wednesday afternoon and Mr A is doing science on Thursday. (You will both need to prepare something in advance.)" I couldn't believe she thought that I might NOT prepare something in advance.
My day was postponed due to weather and resceduled for this past Thursday. We weren't in school Monday through Wednesday of this week either and when we got there Thursday, I asked were we still having the after school session. She said, "Yes, do you have anything ready?" I just told her "yes", but wanted to scream that I had something ready the day BEFORE I got her e-mail nearly 2 weeks ago!
Sorry to vent! lol

Mrs B - that is too good. You made me laugh! Of course you have something prepared.

There's always someone trying to validate themselves. Regardless on tenure, just smile and say 'thank you, I'll take that into consideration.' Good Luck!

I think we all have had an experience with someone who annoyed us or that we bumped heads with in our grade level. One think that bothers me is when a teacher keeps saying she is going to complete something and she continues to say she will have it done and fails to have it done. If you can't do it just say you can't. Even though, it can be annoying too when the workload is put on one person.
