8th Grade in Brooklyn, NY Seeks Pen Pals

Hello,
I teach three eighth grade ELA classes in a k-8 school in Brooklyn. My 75 students in three classes range from non-English speaking to Excel level. I think having a pen pal would really help grab their attention and spark their writing.

I am thinking about starting slow, with just my Excel class of 18, however I know the other two classes would enjoy it as much.
I am looking forward to hearing from another teacher who is interested in the project.

I am interested in your project and also my students would love to practise English with yours.

I also like the idea to start with a class at a time. I have 5 classes for a total of 89 students.

We may extend the project to the other classes if the work with one class goes well. What do you think?

Also, we have a message board and I was thinking that we could have our students use the forum. It would be nice for them to post their avatars, their pictures in their messages and we could review their messages editing them to improve correctness.

I am in a Scientific course of an Italian Liceo in Umbria disctric the city is Foligno.

Your inbox was full, so I am posting a message to you here. I saw your post seeking penpals, and noticed that you have a rather large number of students. Because of this, I think our classes would be able to work well together. I have four classes, each with 39 students, so your 89 students could be paired up with 78 of mine. I have two different levels grades 7 and 9 the former are just beginning to put sentences together while the latter can easily do so, but on occasion make mistakes in the grammar. We are located in Bangkok, Thailand.
