Men’s Health magazine is developing a new publication geared toward parents. One of the articles will suggest questions parents can ask their child's teacher.
Everybody already knows the obvious ones: Do they follow directions, do they share, what concerns do you have, how do they interact with you and the other kids, etc. We want to provide an additional tier of questions that will hopefully generate even greater insight or guidance.
To that end, we’re asking teachers the following: Are there any questions you've been asked by parents that were surprising, which generated a deeper understanding about the child, or which were specific in nature yet yielded novel guidance that other parents can benefit from? Similarly, are there any unconventional questions that >you< think parents should be asking more often?
We appreciate your help. If we use any of your suggestions, you'll be credited in the article, via your first name and state.
