Hey guys,

I am brand new here! But I am seeking some resources. I am trying to find a children's book that has a theme of deep love running through it.

I know I've heard of some books before, but I can't remember titles or authors, but I am specifically trying to find a book where the central character expresses their love for something (someone, something) throughout the book.

It can be that the character goes around telling everyone about their new friend, or toy, or how wonderful their mom is. Or that they have lost something and does all sorts of crazy things to find it (because they love it so much).

I was wondering/hoping that someone here who is much more experienced than I (I'm a first year teacher) could help me out.

Thank you all so much!

Hi air1o5!

Gillie and Marc Schattner are a husband and wife couple that write books to help young children understand feelings and situations in life. I own a book called 'The Happiest Day of My Life' which is about explaining life and death to children through a character called Harry. They have another book in their series called 'True Love'. I haven't read it, but I highly recommend 'The Happiest Day of My Life', so I would check out that book with the same high expectations!

Hi air1o5!
i can suggest you for two books. it depends on you which is the best for you.
'Finding Fairies- secrets for attracting little people from around the world' by Marianne Monson-Burton, Michelle Roehm McCann, and David Hohn. A detailed exploration of fairies from dissimilar continents - also with many hands on projects :)

'I Am a Lovable Me - Affirmations for Children' by Sharon Penchina and Dr. Stuart Hoffman. A delightful and very colorful book for children, which builds self esteem through affirmation. Though the book would at first glance with its bright, simple characters seem to be aimed at quite small children, my two aged 10 and 12 years (at the time of writing) loved the affirmations too. Getting along with others, eating healthy food, drinking water and being confident are just a few of the issues dealt with - a lovely book which leaves you feeling happy.:reading2:
