Okay, I confess, I am technologically behind the times. Can you guys tell me how to create and put an avatar in my profile? Thanks.

There is a red bar at the top of this page. On it is the words "User CP". They're farthest to the left.

Click on those. Then, there are words along the left hahd side of the next page. There, you will see a third heading that says "Settings" and under that "Edit Avator". Click that.

Glance down this page. At the bottom and kind of middle-ish are two options.

The second allows you to upload a picture the way you would an attachment. You browse for the file and so forth.

The first is the one I usually use. You can use Google Images to get a picture of something you want. Then, copy the web address of that picture into the blank next to "Option One". Save the changes, and you should be good to go.

One more note: Some files are too large for what is allowed. You'll get a message about it. Then, just go through the steps and try again.

Hmmm... I don't seem to have the same things on my "Edit Avatar" page as you have on yours. What I see under "Edit Avatar" is a bubble that says "Do not use an avatar". It will not allow me to unselect it.

Beneath that, my two options are "Save Changes" and "Reset Fields". I have tried clicking each of those (even though I don't know what "fields" the latter button will reset) and nothing happens either time.

There are no other options on my page.

Anyone know what to do from here?

You might be too new... I think there are some restrictions. My avator stuff just poped up one day.

I wondered if that might be the problem. Okay, then, I'll just wait. Until the avatar options pop up for me, I'll scour the web for a good pickle picture! (Sounds obscene, doesn't it?)

I don't think you get an avatar until you have 10 posts or something.....but on the avatar note I think I may try to change mine...its too bright t......the flash I mean......lets see if I remember what I did...
