I need to know what font size is appropriate for 3rd grade.!

I would say 12-14, but it depends what font. Comsic sans MS, 12. Times new roman, 14. Also, what are your kids' needs? any special needs or very low readers? bump up the font size and leave lots of white space -- it's less intimidating. High readers? less white space needed.

Thank you so much! I am actually a pre-service teacher writing a unit. I wrote my unit test for third grade in size 14 times new roman and my prof. said to check back on the font sizes. I have nothing in notes or textbooks that says anything about font size. Maybe I'll make it size 13 to be safe!

I don't know that there is any one particular font or size that is either required or recommended. It depends on what you are presenting and how long the document is. Think about the size of the font that is in the novels that they are reading and don't go smaller than that.
