Vocational learning is undergoing a transformation and such a variety of options for young people from Year 10 onwards can lead to confusion and poorer achievement than might have been possible. The government is actively promoting the Apprenticeship Programme as one strand of the post 16 landscape and is especially keen that good information is available to all young people, but especially those who are from socially disadvantaged areas and those from Minority Ethnic Communities.
What are your thoughts on positive role models who have gone through the apprenticeship route and have become successful. How many schools would consider this would be a good programme for 14 to 18 to think about as part of the careers advice.
