so I know my kids are going up in reading levels. I have all the data telling me that they're improving. I know all the strategies I've taught in class, I know that we've done lots of reading and writing and discussion.
What I don't know is exactly what's working, and why. I don't know what it is that's making their reading grow. and I want to know so that I can figure out what's missing for kids who aren't growing as fast as others. It feels a little too much like magic right now for me to trust it.
How can I figure it out?
