Pieces of Arzt

One of the classes I teach is freshman level biology. I just graded the most recent test over basic biochemistry, and WOW, did the students bomb it. I've never had scores so poor across the board. I don't feel like I taught the unit drastically differently than usual, and my students actually seem much brighter this year, in general.
I've always offered the opportunity for test corrections before/after school, tutored individual kids who obviously needed extra help with the unit before/after school, etc, but I am at a loss right now.
What should I do about this? How can I go back quickly and efficiently to cover the ideas they missed? We are on a very strict timeframe in our district and are under a lot of pressure to conform to the scope and sequence.
Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks!
