I don't really like small schools to be honest with you. They seem to be more clique-y. Additinoally, you just don't have the same mix of diversity.

I went to a little school with max. 30 students. I am grown up a bit now, but I remember driving past and seeing a request for more students or else they were going to loose their second teacher... and that's tough! But at the same time it was not clicky, however there are many schools that are and it's more difficult to be in a small school that is clicky than a larger one that is more diverse and accepting. I like diversity! I think it's great to be able to mix with other people who are not the same as you and to learn from others and teach others at the same time.

While it is true some small schools tend to have cliques, there are larger schools wherein the teachers and administration act in the same manner. In contrast, there are certain smaller schools that are very open in their mindset toward the student body and teachers. I think school culture has more to do with who sets the agenda regardless of school size.
