This is a game I thought was fun on another site. You post a line(s) from a song. The next person writes the next line and the title and singer/band. Then post your own line clue...
Here goes:
Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they’re turned around
Who'd of thought they'd lead ya
Back here where we need ya!

I think it's Welcome Back by John Sebastian. It was the theme song from the hit TV series Welcome Back Mr. Kotter starring comedian Gabe Kaplan and then up and coming John Travalota.
Try this one: I think about her day and night, it's only right, so ... (Hint 1960's)

this game's hard, especially since the lyrics are being typed out and not sung.
Well I know that you're in love with him
Cuz I saw you dancin' in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes....

It is Happy Together by the Turtles. The turtle are touring on LI this weekend along with Tommy James and the Shondells, (Crimson & Clover, My Baby Does the Hanky Panky, I Think We're Alone Now, etc), and The Buckinghams (Susan, Kinda of A Drag) I am a 60's music fanatic. I ran an oldies but goodies show on my college radio station many years ago when the trend was hard rock and folk rock.
Try this one. Her eyes were soft and cool, her hair was clear and bright...

SLP It is Bye Bye Miss American Pie. Do you remember who sang it?

Try this one:
See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out

I really like Bye-Bye Miss American Pie. It's a great song.
I didn't know Crimsion and Clover was first sung back in the day...
Now let me see, the above song is: Beautiful Day. Again, I don't know the artist. So, I guess I can't post lyrics yet.

I'm not deaf but very hard of hearing and when I first got instruments to help I put in some Pink Floyd. I have to tell you it was so funny because even though I heard the songs a week or so earlier I was able to say, Wow, this is the first time I ever heard this song. You wouldn't believe the words I was singing all of these years. I mean people who knew the words must've thought I was nutzo! The same holds true for every other song. Although I did know the Welcome Back Kotter tune!
