I want to do the "Find Someone Who" activity.
Each student has a page with 20 statements, like
"I have been to Utah", or "I play basketball"
Then, the student finds 20 different people that the statements describe and gets their signatures.

What are some good questions that 6th graders would be interested. I'm looking for some activities that boys like, and some activities that girls like.
What are some popular books with 6th graders?
What else are they interested in that would be appropriate for this activity?

Anne-Marie: I have 5th graders. Close enough in age? Try some things like favorite music group/s or singers, the last movie I saw that I really liked, favorite sport, team, or player, restauant or food, best place ever visited, find someone who speaks more than one language, favorite season is ..., who is good at helping others in (subject), would let you borrow their cell phone to make a call, can sing or dance or play a musical instrument really well, etc. I hope I gave you a few more to add to your lists. Of course, I hope they reveal information about your students so you can tap their interests or make good connections to the curriculum. Good Luck! Have a wonderful school year.
