I'm wondering what your favorite reference books are for teaching. I will be teaching 5th and 6th grade special ED . I'm looking for some good printables type books. Activities/worksheets the kiddos can work on as busy type work. Maybe I need to search 'homeschooling'. hmmm.

There's good stuff right on this site for free, or take your vocabulary or spelling words from the content or reading selection and make you own word search, crossword puzzles, etc.

There are some great websites out there that you can join for a fee. Yeah, the price might be a little hefty, but sometimes it's worth it. Rather than spending a lot of money on many different books, you can join a website and get materials on every topic under the sun!

Personally, I'm a big fan enchanted learning. I also have one for edhelper. Some of my friends love abcteach and teachingatoz, but I haven't checked those out for myself.
