Since this has been needed a bit lately, I figured I would give some instruction on how to report a post that may have undesired content.

First - IMPORTANT - I am not the type that likes censorship - in fact I welcome opposing viewpoints - even if they are undesirable viewpoints. So you won't find me banning many people for having unpopular views (I know many people wanted CNO banned quicker - but I thought it was important to hear his side. He got banned for personally attacking others). People get banned for personal attacks, spamming, etc.

If you think a post is questionable, please DO report it. I keep track of all reported posts.

HOW TO REPORT A POST:
On every post, there is this button: http://www.theteacherscorner.net/forums/images/buttons/report.gif

<---------- see over there :)

Click that button on the offending post, and add any comments. Then send it.

I will be emailed the link of that exact post, and your comments.

Using the method above is BY FAR the fastest way to get things resolved.

In the past, many people have 'emailed', or 'PM'd me and said "Look at the ADHD thread" - this is not nearly as fast, because I have to visit the forums, search for the thread, then try to figure out which thread is bad... If I am traveling, this takes a very long time - but by using the REPORT POST button I have a direct link waiting for me in the email - it is one click and I am there.

Thank you for making this more obvious and for posting it as a sticky. That is helpful to us!

I will also take this opportunity to remind members that we have an ignore option that we can use. If you place someone on your ignore list, you won't be able to see what this person has written ... hence you won't take offense and will be less likely to post caustic replies.

To place someone on your ignore list, click on the "User CP" button. You'll find this button on a red bar towards the top of this page.

Enter the user name of the person you want to ignore. Since names are case sensitive, the name you want will come up. Double click on the name, click "okay," and then click on "save."

The name will appear on a list of ignored members with a check by that person's name.

I'm trying to message SuburbanGal...but her mailbox has been full for a couple of weeks, and I need to reply to her.

I believe she is on another website. Perhaps you can contact her there. Another option is to put a public post out to her. You know, a thread that is titled with her name and requests that she get in touch with you.
