Technology Question

I would really like to get a SmartBoard for my Kindergarten classroom but I'm having a tough time convincing my principal. Does anyone have a success story they'd like to share with me in regards to the SmartBoard? I would appreciate any and all advice/comments/stories. Thanks a bunch!

We have two smart boards for our district. Can you convince him to buy one for the school that is housed in your room but other teachers can use it?

My students have used the smart board to teach grammar. The students can actually write on the board and find the grammar mistakes. It works great.

I was able to teach my students how to use the internet using it. They loved it.

It would make interactive writing and reading awesome. You could put up a piece of a story and mark up the text for guided reading. You could also write with the students and use the board for editing.

My students love when I put their writing on the board and they can edit it together and when we can use guided reading marks to mark up the reading.
