First of all, I would like to thank for the suggestions on the activities for Literacy Days.
We finally did it!
My partner and I chose "Cultural Literacy is the Oxygen of Social Intercourse" to be our topic.
Each local is given a country's name to be the literary theme. All classes had to be decorated as their respective countries. Yet, the decoration should portray the topic. The classes were also obliged to prepare one performance each. We also held a pageant to find 'Mr. and Ms. Literacy' (ha ha, we couldn't find better names at that time).
Surprisingly, it worked! All students read and wrote during the week. Yet, the activity was a lot of FUN since they don't realize how much reading that they actually did for the event.
When smiles were in everyone's face, it was enough :)
