Mailing Address Needed From Everyone! (please read)

Hey Everyone!

The Teacher's Corner will randomly send out small gifts/promo items to our users. For this we will need your mailing address.

The Teacher's Corner has added a field to your profile for your Mailing Address. This is a private field that only you and the administrator of this board (me :)) can see.

You must be logged in, then:
Please go to: User CP (upper left corner in the red bar)
Then choose: Edit Profile

Near the bottom, you will find the Mailing Address field. Just put your NAME & Mailing Address in the box. Then click "Save".

This is not required, but if your address is not entered when we go to give away small promo items, you will not receive one - even if you were qualified to get one.

When and Who will get these "promo items"?
We will send stuff out at random times, but it will have some sort of 'qualification'. Like the "Top 10 most active users" during a certain week. Something will just show up in the mail for those 10 people. Again, this will happen randomly and is in addition to any other promotions we are doing :)

So get your address entered!

Lou - We haven't decided on how far we will send the items yet. All U.S. are definitely eligible. I really would need to check the postal rates if someone from overseas became eligible.

MzTeech- no problem. Anyone who doesn't want to put their address in, doesn't need to.

It should be known that for some of our other websites that we have had promotional giveaways, it become very difficult to track down everyones address after the fact (after they have become a qualified 'recipient'), on a one-by-one basis. So much trouble, that we had stopped giving items away. So on this website we decided to try something a bit different - getting addresses "up front" of those who are interested in 'possibly' receiving a small promo trinket here-or-there. That way we can easily throw the item in an envelope and quickly post it.

This is the first teachers' site I've ever belonged to that does anything like this. I like the idea of random awards. Everyone likes to be recognized.

I also like the coffee cup and briefcase rewards.

Now ... if could just stretch the reward program far enough to include housekeeping awards i.e. complimentary maid service, I'd be all set. :)

I just checked Fedex rates to post to Australia (which can't be too far off from rates to Indonesia) and at this point I still have to stay with making it U.S.A. residents only.

To send an envelope to Australia it would cost $73.26 via Fedex. Just to send the coffe mug it would cost $98.89. That is crazy!! Maybe there is a better carrier that can get it there substantially cheaper, I just haven't figured out how to do it.
