The Teacher's Corner has now added a great crossword puzzle maker to our site! Simple to make and print. You can find it in our Printable Worksheets (http://www.theteacherscorner.net/printable-worksheets/) section of the site.

Let us know what you think!

This is excellent! I tried it with some of my students vocabulary words and it was very easy to use. I think that I will use it with some of their spelling words too. Thank you for making these worksheets so easy to make and use.

I was excited to see that. I just joined this site last night, was looking around, and noticed your crossword puzzle maker. I do a crossword puzzle for our Latin words and meanings every Thursday as a grade. This week, I will use your site to create the puzzle. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works. Thanks, and please keep the good stuff coming!

With how easy it is, you could even have your students create their own puzzle for someone else to solve.

We had a lot of requests for a Crossword Puzzle maker, so we finally got one up.

mrsbutterworth - We have a lot of requests for ESL and Foreign language puzzles, so I will definitely snag some from you.

Currently we are putting everyones puzzle words into a Database, and if they look like others might benefit from them - I will make them available as a premade list. You can see some of the ones I grabbed on the first page: Crossword Puzzle Maker (http://www.theteacherscorner.net/printable-worksheets/make-your-own/crossword/)

mrsbutterworth - you may see some of yours appear there :)

I have used this and LOVE it! However, I would have liked to be able to have more than then 20 word limit.
BUT... This is a great tool and will be used alot.
THANKS!

poetictails,

Yeah, I wanted to get as many as I could, but the size of the grid can only be so large before it gets too big to fit on a printed page. I tried more words, but it errored-out more often (couldn't fit all of the words in the grid - so it delivers an error).

Good news is that in the few days it has been live, we have had 1,500 crosswords made! That is crazy!

I'm more than happy for you to use some of mine. We teach Latin in 3rd grade here using the Latin Primer. I've found the crossword puzzle to be an excellent help for them in learning their vocabulary for the week. I let them do it open-book, so it usually makes for an easy A, however, those that misspell something lose points. That way, they don't forget when it comes time for a test!
