I am a new teacher and would like to find a good web host company. I have searched pcmag and others and am slightly confused. Any help out there?

Hi,

I'm in Canada. I've just opened up an account (to host a website) with HostPapa.com. I chose them because they also manage canadian domain names. For about $105 Cdn, I get space for a webpage for a year as well as my own domain name.

If you're in the US, I hear that GoDaddy.com is a fairly good deal too.

Cheers,

I wrote you a nice response, which this site decided to dump due to its *spam* software (thought my info was spam!). I just bought an account to setup my own website & got a domain name at the same time. Cost me about $100 for the year. (I'm in Canada)

Email me directly if you want some specifics.

Cheers,

I have used imhosted.com for several years. Good service, not a lot of downtime, etc.

Thank you for replying, I was looking at the imhosted.com and am nervous about starting. This process should not be this hard! Mike what is your e-mail address?

SO SORRY for the delay. Was hung up with my summer school classes - was asked to do double as there were no teachers available. Then, took a week off and travelled south of the border.

Here's my email address: mike@mikesclass.ca

Feel free to email me should you still need info and/or if it's not too late.

Cheers,
Mike

I used DapperApple.

Its a pretty cool site that lets you create your own website.
