I'm a teacher-turned-researcher at Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (McREL) in Denver. We are beginning an experimental study of a classroom assessment professional development program, studying whether the program leads to higher student math scores in 4th and 5th grade.

Because we will be collecting different types of data from teachers during the study, we’d like teachers’ feedback on the quality of our surveys before the study begins. Any 4th or 5th grade teacher who teaches math is eligible to participate in this instrument pilot test. The participating teachers will receive electronic copies of the survey instruments along with a set of feedback forms that ask questions about them. The teachers would then complete the instruments and then send them back along with the feedback form. It would take an hour or two to complete. As token of thanks for taking time to participate in the pilot test (although we know that teachers' time is invaluable), I will send each participating teacher a $50 Amazon gift certificate. We can accept only a limited number of teacher participants.

Thanks for considering my request--I really need your help! :) If you are eligible and interested, please private message or e-mail me. I would also be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks!
