Love and Logic

Have you heard of "Love and Logic" ?
I love this method of discipline in my classroom. It is a great way to put responsibilitly on kids.

Hi Sue, I agree with you on the concepts of Love and Logic. Our elementary school counselor actually teaches a seminar every spring to teach these techniques. If you ever get a chance to go to a conference, I think you would really enjoy it. I found the website helpful too. The concepts really work, its amazing!

When I was in the classroom I used the Love and Logic approach and I saw a change in my most disruptive students. I think that sometimes we fall under the old school way of managing students and often times we get ourselves worked up more than we should. Once I used the Love and Logic the stress I use to feel seemed to lift off of me. I actually found it fun to put the ideas into practice and looked forward to the rewards that would come from it.

We read this book for one of my TED courses last year (I'm getting my credential). I was pleased to realize I'm already using love and logic, and appreciated learning even more about it. :) I'd love to have the authors come to speak to our staff.
