anyone have a step-by-step process they teach their students to solve word problems?? thanks.

Math word problems require the user to have a knowledge of reading comprehension. Therefore, it is essential that the teacher evaluate the students comprehension. Then, you can teach them to setup for the order of operation to bring the word problem to an end. I know this is basic in explaination but, the outcome is the goal.

Texas, has TAKS testing which requires a full understanding of word math.
