Anyone care to share their knowledge and experience about the role of technology in schools?

As the years go on, it's becoming a necesity in the classroom... kids are used to remote controls, DVDs, the Internet, etc... so if they are already familiar with those things, I don't see any problem in using them to help them learn and become successful in life.

Technology in the classroom is becoming more and more available and used in the classroom. I have been teaching 17 years. When I first started we had a computer in the building we could use. Now every classroom in our building has at least 1. We keep grades, take attendance, and communicate with parents with the computer. I use the internet to supplement my lessons.
