Ok I'm not actually a teacher yet but I'm I'm an and early childhood education academy so I can eventually become one.
We have an assignment where we have to make a bulletin board for the kindergarteners and my theme is: "Up and Down Topsy Turvy. The selected shape is footprints, color is blue and number is 3 or 13. So anyone have any ideas on what I ccould do with that?

I'm not a teacher yet either (although I do have a Kindergartener:D ), but maybe if I jump on the thread some of the experienced teachers will come and give you better advice ;)
What is the objective in creating this board? Did you choose the elements/theme or were you given these items and told to create something out of them? Can you add elements or is that all you have to work with?
If you chose them, my first reaction is there are too many focuses - is the point of your board the color blue, the numbers, directional (up & down) - what are you trying to teach? Once you define the concept you are trying to teach, it should be easier to decide how to present it.
If you have to use those elements, my first reaction is to try and fashion some steps/stairs - you can put blue footprints on steps (three steps up, three steps down maybe). Still, you need to determine what concept you are presenting to the class. With the elements you have, I would lean toward presenting the number and make the color secondary.
If you haven't already, make sure you go to the bulletin board section of this website for some ideas as well.
Experienced teachers, please chime in :)
