Hi all,
I am considering leaving public education. It has gotten so CRAZY with NCLB and scheduling for music classes (I'm a music teacher) and I am frankly quite burnt out with my present job and their is no hope in making it better. Administration won't work with me after repeated discussions.
ANYWHOO... I am going to contract out to private schools to do some "specialized" music classes. Such as a handbell program. This has gone very well at my present school and I think private schools will like the idea... These schools that I am looking at do not have music programs...
I don't think they can afford full time so I am going to propose going to their school one day a week. If I can get several schools to sign up, then I think I can make it!!!
Anyone do this sort of thing or know of someone who does?
