Hello. I have a traumatic brain injury from using inhalants also known as huffing, when I was 12. (I'm now 32 and Not looking for pity just stating the facts as they are ;) I have permanent damage to my brain and bone marrow (fatty inner lining of bones) and deal with many many problems each day, every day including Severe dizziness (feels as bad or worse than flu), Chronic fatigue, Poor balance and coordination, Nystagmus (quick, involuntary eye movement) indicating Damage to the Cerebellum in my brain which is also responsible for balance and coordination, Severe memory problems, Word-finding problems, Communication problems in every ense, Very Poor attention span and concentration.
I also have a Severe Grating at the back of my neck when nodding even a little bit, most likely due to the damaged bone marrow. I have nerve damage/numbness to my face, hands and other parts and have difficulty smiling due to the nerve damage. So yeah, I'm pretty messed-up!!
I'll write more later. I get tired easily. Thank you for reading my message! I'll try to add more later. Take good care, Aimee
